1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to ShaadiSync ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", "our"). ShaadiSync is an AI-powered pre-marriage compatibility assessment platform operated by ShaadiSync Technologies ("Company").

By accessing or using the ShaadiSync platform — including creating an account, joining a case via invite code, completing questionnaires, generating reports, or browsing the website — you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ShaadiSync Technologies. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

• "Case" — A compatibility assessment instance created by a User, involving up to 4 participants (Bride, Groom, Bride's Family, Groom's Family).
• "Creator" — The User who creates a Case and initiates the assessment process.
• "Participant" — Any individual who joins a Case via an invite code to complete a questionnaire.
• "Questionnaire" — The structured set of questions presented to each Participant across multiple life domains.
• "Report" — The AI-generated compatibility analysis produced from Participant responses.
• "Invite Code" — A unique alphanumeric code used to grant a Participant access to a specific Case.
• "AI System" — The third-party artificial intelligence models selectively chosen for compatibility analysis, used to analyze responses and generate Reports.

3. Eligibility

To use ShaadiSync, you must:

1. Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction).
2. Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and questionnaire completion.
4. Not use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of another person (e.g., a family member), you represent that you have their consent to do so.

4. Account Registration & Security

4.1 Account Creation

• Creators must register with a valid email address and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4.2 Participant Access

• Participants access the platform via invite codes shared by the Creator.
• Participants are not required to create an account but must provide their name.
• Invite codes are confidential and should only be shared with intended Participants.

4.3 Account Security

• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Description of Service

ShaadiSync provides:

1. Structured Questionnaires — Covering 10 life domains (Family & In-Laws, Finances, Children & Parenting, Health & Lifestyle, Career & Ambitions, Religion & Traditions, Social Life & Privacy, Conflict & Communication, Childhood & Past, Wedding & Celebration).
2. AI-Powered Analysis — Automated analysis of questionnaire responses using artificial intelligence to generate compatibility insights.
3. Compatibility Reports — Personalized reports including alignment areas, mismatches, flags, emotional compatibility analysis, financial blueprints, action plans, and family alignment matrices.
4. Role-Based Views — Different report views for different stakeholders (Couple view vs. Family view).

5.1 What ShaadiSync Is

• A conversation facilitation tool that helps couples and families identify areas of alignment and difference before marriage.
• An AI-powered assessment that generates structured insights from questionnaire responses.
• A discussion preparation platform that provides conversation starters and action plans.

5.2 What ShaadiSync Is NOT

• Not professional counseling — ShaadiSync does not provide psychological, therapeutic, legal, medical, or financial advice.
• Not a matchmaking service — We do not help users find partners.
• Not a substitute for professional help — If you or your partner are experiencing mental health issues, domestic violence, abuse, or other serious concerns, please seek professional help immediately.
• Not a decision-making tool — ShaadiSync does not recommend whether a couple should or should not marry. All insights are for discussion purposes only.
• Not a diagnostic tool — Attachment styles, emotional patterns, and other psychological concepts mentioned in Reports are simplified assessments, not clinical diagnoses.

6. AI-Generated Content — Disclaimers & Limitations

6.1 Nature of AI-Generated Content

ShaadiSync uses third-party AI models selectively chosen for compatibility analysis to process questionnaire responses and generate Reports. You acknowledge and agree that:

1. AI-generated content is not infallible. Reports may contain inaccuracies, oversimplifications, generalizations, or errors. AI models can produce outputs that are incorrect, biased, or incomplete.
2. AI outputs are probabilistic, not deterministic. The same inputs may produce different outputs at different times. Reports should be treated as one perspective among many, not as definitive truth.
3. AI does not understand context fully. While the AI is designed to be culturally sensitive, it may not fully account for your unique cultural, religious, regional, or personal context.
4. Reports are not professional assessments. They are generated by machine learning models, not by licensed psychologists, counselors, financial advisors, or other professionals.
5. Compatibility scores are indicative, not absolute. Numerical scores in Reports are AI-generated estimates meant to facilitate discussion, not to quantify the viability of a relationship.

6.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any AI-generated content. ShaadiSync, its operators, and its AI providers shall not be held liable for any decisions made based on Report content.

6.3 AI Model Changes

We may change, update, or replace the AI models used to generate Reports at any time without prior notice. This may result in variations in Report content, format, or quality.

6.4 Human Oversight

AI-generated Reports are provided as-is without human review or verification. We recommend that users discuss Report findings with qualified professionals (marriage counselors, financial advisors, family therapists) before making significant life decisions.

7. User Conduct & Responsibilities

7.1 Truthful Responses

• You agree to answer questionnaire questions honestly and to the best of your knowledge.
• Deliberately providing false, misleading, or manipulative responses undermines the integrity of the assessment and may result in inaccurate Reports.
• We are not responsible for Report quality if responses are dishonest or incomplete.

7.2 Consent of Participants

• The Creator is responsible for ensuring that all Participants have given informed, voluntary consent to participate in the assessment.
• You must not share invite codes with individuals who have not consented to participate.
• You must not coerce, pressure, or deceive anyone into participating.
• Participation must be entirely voluntary. Any Participant may withdraw at any time.

7.3 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to harass, manipulate, coerce, or harm any individual.
• Use Reports as evidence in legal proceedings (including divorce, custody, or property disputes) without explicit written consent from all Participants.
• Share, publish, or distribute another Participant's responses or Report views without their consent.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI prompts, algorithms, or models used by the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the Service.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

7.4 Misuse of Reports

• Reports are intended for private use by the Participants of a Case.
• Using Report content to shame, blackmail, manipulate, or publicly humiliate any Participant is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
• We reserve the right to terminate access for any User who misuses the Service.

8. Privacy & Data Handling

8.1 Data Collection

We collect the following data:

• Account data — Name, email address, hashed password.
• Questionnaire responses — Answers and optional explanations provided by each Participant.
• Case data — Case metadata, invite codes, participation status.
• Report data — AI-generated Reports associated with each Case.

8.2 Data Processing by AI

• Questionnaire responses are sent to third-party AI providers for Report generation.
• Responses are sent in an anonymized format — AI providers receive question-answer pairs without personally identifiable information (names, emails, etc.).
• We do not control how third-party AI providers process, store, or retain data sent to their APIs. Please refer to the respective AI provider's terms and data handling practices.

8.3 Data Storage

• Data is stored on our servers with reasonable security measures.
• No system is 100% secure. We implement industry-standard protections but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.4 Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
• You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@shaadisync.in.
• Upon account deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.

8.5 No Raw Answer Sharing

• Individual questionnaire responses are never shown to other Participants.
• The AI is instructed to frame all insights as patterns and observations without revealing who said what.
• However, in cases with only 2 Participants, it may be possible to infer individual positions from AI-generated insights. We cannot guarantee complete anonymity in all scenarios.

8.6 Privacy Policy

For detailed information about our data practices, please refer to our separate Privacy Policy. In case of conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy shall prevail on matters of data handling.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Intellectual Property

• The ShaadiSync platform, including its design, code, AI prompts, question bank, branding, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of ShaadiSync Technologies.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

9.2 Your Content

• You retain ownership of the responses you provide in questionnaires.
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your responses for the purpose of generating Reports and improving the Service.
• We will not sell your individual responses to third parties.

9.3 AI-Generated Reports

• Reports are generated by AI based on your inputs. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use your Report for private purposes.
• You may share your Report with professionals (counselors, advisors) for guidance.
• You may not commercially redistribute, publish, or resell Reports.

10. Payment & Refunds

10.1 Pricing

• Certain features of the Service may require payment. Pricing will be clearly displayed before any purchase.
• We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes will not affect already-purchased assessments.

10.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (e.g., Razorpay). Your payment information is handled directly by the payment provider and is not stored on our servers.
• By making a payment, you also agree to the payment provider's terms of service.

10.3 Refund Policy

• Due to the nature of AI-generated content (which is produced and delivered instantly), refunds are generally not available once a Report has been generated.
• If you experience a technical error that prevents Report generation, please contact us within 7 days for a resolution.
• We may offer refunds at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

• Pre-marriage assessments may surface uncomfortable truths or differences.
• AI-generated insights may be perceived differently by different Participants.
• The assessment process itself may create tension or conflict.
• You voluntarily assume these risks.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ShaadiSync Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and AI providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

1. Your use of the Service.
2. Your violation of these Terms.
3. Your violation of any third-party rights.
4. Any content you submit through the Service.
5. Your sharing of Reports or invite codes in violation of these Terms.

13. Third-Party Services

13.1 AI Providers

• ShaadiSync uses third-party AI services for Report generation.
• These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies.
• We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or practices of third-party AI providers.

13.2 Payment Providers

• Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g., Razorpay).
• We are not responsible for payment processing errors, fraud, or disputes handled by the payment provider.

13.3 Hosting & Infrastructure

• The Service is hosted on third-party infrastructure providers.
• We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by infrastructure providers.

14. Termination

14.1 By You

• You may stop using the Service at any time.
• You may request account deletion by contacting us.
• Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any payments already made.

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Misuse of the Service.
• Fraudulent or illegal activity.
• Extended period of inactivity.

14.3 Effect of Termination

• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• We may retain your data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) shall survive.

15. Modifications to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
• Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
• Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
• If you disagree with any changes, you must stop using the Service.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

16.3 Dispute Resolution

• Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us.
• We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your complaint.
• If informal resolution fails, either party may pursue legal remedies.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ShaadiSync Technologies regarding the Service.

17.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.

17.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

These Terms are drafted in English. In case of any translation, the English version shall prevail.
